After being shut down by the DEA, Ruth and her squad are back in business in season two of Netflix’s Disjointed, from creators Chuck Lorre—of The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, Mom, Mike & Molly and other sitcoms—and David Javerbaum.

In what Netflix describes as “a story of the highs, the lows, and half-baked drama of a family-run marijuana dispensary,” the series stars Kathy Bates as a lifelong advocate for the legalization of marijuana whose dreams are finally realized when she becomes the owner of a cannabis dispensary in Los Angeles. Her cohorts include three so-called “budtenders,” her twenty-something son and deeply troubled security guard.

When season two premieres January 12, they celebrate this next chapter in their lives as they navigate new milestones and misadventures at her shop, Ruth’s Alternative Caring.

The cast includes Chris Redd, Nicole Sullivan, Tone Bell, Betsy Sodaro, Elizabeth Alderfer, Dougie Baldwin, Elizabeth Ho and Aaron Moten.
