Disney Plus is bringing back a new version of Disney Channel’s animated The Proud Family, which ran on the channel from 2001-2005, with a cast packed full of celebrity voice talent.

Studio City, Calif.-based The Shop produced the above trailer for The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, which eventizes the show’s return by showcasing its irreverent humor as it tackles current issues.

The Proud family are Kyla Pratt as Penny, Tommy Davidson (Oscar), Paula Jai Parker (Trudy) and JoMarie Payton (Suga Mama). Cedric the Entertainer plays Uncle Bobby along with Karen Malina White as Dijonay Jones, Alisa Reyes as LaCienega Boulevardez and Soleil Moon Frye as Zoey Howzer. Among the recurring cast are Keke Palmer, Billy Porter, Zachary Quinto, Artist “A Boogie” Dubose, Asante Blackk, E.J. Johnson, Carlos Mencia, Maria Canals, Barrera, Alvara Gutierrez, Marcus T. Paulk and Raquel Lee Bolleau.

Tiffany Haddish, Lil Naz X, Lizzo, Leslie Odom Jr. and Gabrielle Union also make appearances throughout the ten-episode season.

The Proud Family was created by Bruce W. Smith, who executive produces along with Ralph Farquhar. Calvin Brown Jr. is co-executive producer and story editor. Jan Hirota directs. Eastwood Wong is art director.

The Proud Family get both louder and prouder come February 2022.
