Once the first season of BBC’s popular six-part series The Night Manager wraps up in the U.K. it will premiere in the U.S. on April 19—but there’s a catch.

The final two episodes were leaked online, a week before the March 27 finale is scheduled to air in the U.K. As viewers face major spoilers, BBC executives fear the leak will negatively impact ratings for one of the network’s biggest series in recent years. On the flip side, the leak could actually encourage viewing. It’s not unusual for British shows to air first in the U.K—consider Downton Abbey—and American viewers who want to avoid spoilers can manage to do so.

The Night Manager, for which a season two is already in discussion, has been pulling in 6 million viewers on Sunday nights, as well 2 million who are playing catch up.

The final two episodes began circulating online over the weekend, and are believed to be ripped from pre-ordered DVD copies that were sent out too early, Newsweek reports.

AMC posted a trailer for the American debut of the show, starring Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie, and based on John le Carre’s best-selling 1993 novel of the same name.

In the series, former British soldier Jonathan Pine (Hiddleston) is recruited by Angela Burr (Olivia Colman), an intelligence operative. He is tasked to navigate Whitehall and Washington, D.C., where there is an alliance between the intelligence community and the secret arms trade. He must infiltrate the inner circle of arms dealer Richard Onslow Roper (Laurie), Roper’s girlfriend Jed (Elizabeth Debicki), and Major Lance Corkoran (Tom Hollander).

The Night Manager is a co-production between the BBC, The Ink Factory and AMC.
