Serving in the military involves many more sacrifices than just the work. Families, wives and children also pay a personal price.
Amazon’s The Last Post, which is airing on BBC One in the UK, centers on the lives of a unit of British Royal Military Police officers and their families deployed in Aden, Yemen in the mid-1960s.
The six-part limited series, which drops in full on Amazon on Friday, Dec. 22, comes from The Night Of’s Peter Moffat and is based on his own childhood. It stars Jessica Raine (Call The Midwife), Jessie Buckley (War and Peace), Jeremy Neumark Jones (Denial), Amanda Drew (Broadchurch), Ben Miles (Coupling, RSC’s Wolf Hall), and Stephen Campbell Moore (History Boys, The Go-Between).
