“Sometimes when you love someone, you do crazy things.”

That’s the premise for BBC America’s hit series Killing Eve, which revealed the trailer for its second season on Valentine’s Day. Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer will return as Eve and Villanelle in the story of two women bound by a complex obsession with each other.

The trailer for the new season addresses the cliffhanger at the end of the first, picking up just 36 seconds after the end of season one. With a slowed down cover of “Addicted To Love” playing in the background, we see flashes of what’s to come, including Eve running her hands over a knife, admitting to the potential murder of Villanelle, and opening an ominous delivery of flowers in her name.

AMC will simulcast the new season of the award-winning series along with BBC America.

“When we launched Killing Eve on BBC America last year, we had high hopes, but no idea it would become this obsession,” said Sarah Barnett, president, entertainment networks, AMC Networks, in a statement. “We believe we’ve hit the tip of the iceberg in terms of potential viewers and we want to expose this brilliant series to the largest audience we can. That’s what’s behind this move… to have a big, premium network like AMC introduce this fantastic storytelling to an even broader array of viewers and fans.”

The twisted love story continues April 7 on BBC America and AMC Networks.
