A reminder of how hot Friends remains even though it ended its run on NBC 12 years ago (12 YEARS AGO!): A run of the mill promo for NBC’s upcoming special honoring famed sitcom director James Burrows became an Internet phenom just because it includes the show’s cast (sans Matthew Perry, who’s appearing in a play in London) for a few seconds.

Makes Netflix look like frickin’ geniuses for acquiring the show in syndication, even though the streaming service had to pay Warner Bros. nearly $120 million for the rights to all 236 episodes.

Friends will be there for you, Warner Bros., and for all of us die-hard fans too.

NBC’s All-Star Tribune to James Burrows airs Sunday, Feb. 21 at 9/8 c.
