Season two of FX’s Legion builds on last season with a healthy dose of the strange and unusual that manages to incorporate a choreographed dance scene and creepy teeth chattering.
Set in the X-Men universe, the trailer begins with telekinetic mutant David Haller (Dan Stevens) trying to regain his memories to take on the Shadow King, aka Amahl Farouk (Navid Negahban, Homeland), who is still infecting people by taking over their minds and leaving them in a teeth chattering state.
FX’s season two trailer takes a stylized tone driven by ambiguous questions and statements:
What are you hiding?
I remember trees … and dancing?
We all die eventually … but the real tragedy is forgetting to live.
It’s coming. What’s coming? The end of everything.
She lives in the future you are going to destroy. And when you do, she will cease to exist.
I love you. Love isn’t gonna save us.
Noah Hawley serves as executive producer, along with John Cameron, Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory.
Legion premieres April 3 on FX.
