CBS All Access has unveiled the first look for its upcoming series, Star Trek: Picard.

The first teaser—released on the 25th anniversary of Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s conclusion—sees Patrick Stewart reprise his role as Captain Jean-Luc Picard 15 years after commanding the largest rescue armada in history.

As it pans over a vineyard—that Star Trek fans may recognize—an ominous voice indicates an “unimaginable” incident that led him to abandon Starfleet. The only question is: why?

“What did that cost you? Your faith? Your faith in us? Your faith in yourself? Tell us, why did you leave Starfleet, Admiral?”

Stewart portrayed Picard for seven seasons on Star Trek: The Next Generation in addition to appearing in four Star Trek films. The new spinoff will pick up years after his final canon appearance in Star Trek: Nemesis (2002).

The series also stars Alison Pill, Michelle Hurd, Evan Evagora, Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera and Harry Treadaway.

In addition to a teaser trailer, CBS also released key art for the series:

Stewart, Alex Kurtzman, Michael Chabon, Akiva Goldsman, James Duff, Heather Kadin, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth serve as executive producers and Aaron Baiers (Secret Hideout) serves as co-executive producer and Kirsten Beyer as supervising producer.

A premiere date has not been announced; however, it’s expected to launch later this year.
