As promised in last year’s upfronts, midseason on The CW is looking less like Gossip Girl, more like detective/zombie girl.
The CW presented a few of its new series during its TCA presentation on Sunday, including newcomers iZombie and The Messengers, set to premiere in the next few months.
From Rob Thomas and DC Comics, iZombie (above) is about a girl who becomes a zombie. She’s perfectly content working in the morgue until she discovers a strange connection to the dead bodies there.
The Messengers, a drama making its CW premiere in April, follows five strangers who find themselves connected because of one strange, hard-to-explain moment.
iZombie makes its debut March 17 on The CW before Supernatural and Arrow’s returns on March 18. The Messengers will take a Friday time slot beginning April 10.
