Prime Video is ramping up the promo for season three of its irreverent and ultra-violent (that is, if you consider people constantly exploding into goo violent) series The Boys, starring Antony Starr as Homelander and Karl Urban as Billy “The Butcher” Butcher.

In season three, The Butcher is more eager than ever to get revenge on Homelander and the Vought-controlled Seven, even going so far as to ingest a substance that temporarily turns him into one of the superheroes he claims to despise. As Billy’s been waiting for his opportunity, he’s been biding his time by not drinking or murdering any Supes. Meanwhile, Hughie (Jack Quaid) now works for the Federal Bureau of Superhero Affairs where he actually gets to give orders to Billy. But none of that peace and quiet is going to last for long.

Besides Urban and Starr, The Boys also stars Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Giancarlo Esposito, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie and Claudia Doumit. Supernatural’s Jensen Ackles also joins the cast as the original Supe, Soldier Boy.

The Boys is based on The New York Times best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, who also serve as executive producers, and developed by executive producer and showrunner Eric Kripke. Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Phil Sgriccia, Craig Rosenberg, Ken F. Levin, Jason Netter, Paul Grellong, David Reed, Meredith Glynn and Michaela Starr also serve as executive producers.

The Boys is produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television Studios, with Kripke Enterprises, Original Film and Point Grey Pictures.

Three episodes premiere Friday, June 3 with five more episodes following until the season finale on Friday, July 8.
