Telemundo’s “super series” go beyond weekly dramas, even beyond telenovelas. They are billed as “not your average novelas” by the network because the stories (and characters) dare to go far above what is expected.
Super series Señora Acero returned for its second season last month, staying true to the form by offering not only 70 episodes of content to catch up on, but an interactive digital comic book for fans to experience as well.

Señora Acero’s comic book was created by Telemundo and the series’ writers as a way to catch fans up on the first season and what they may have forgotten, as well as introduce the series to new, younger viewers.
Telemundo previously experimented with the format for season three of its Spanish-language series El Señor de los Cielos, but expanded on the idea for Señora Acero, adding a dynamic audiovisual component online.

The comic book, released a week prior to its season two debut on Telemundo, is available in print, as a Facebook app and on Telemundo.com/AceroComic.
It helped Telemundo launch Señora Acero’s second season, which debuted as the top Spanish-language show in its time slot for the night of Sept. 22 and became the No. 1 show on Facebook among Hispanic networks, reaching more than 8 million Facebook users.
