This month celebrates the 20th anniversary of The WB, the home of some of the most beloved teen series ever on TV.

The channel created characters still referenced on a daily basis in pop culture, from Dawson and Buffy to Felicity and (the Golden Globe-winning) Jane the Virgin.

So let’s look back at just a few of those teen-oriented shows that fell across what many now know as The CW brand, which once included shows that had previously aired on The WB and UPN.

Jane the Virgin, 2014-

This Golden Globe winner is just getting started, but The CW’s new drama has already made waves since its fall debut with The Flash.

Supernatural, 2005-

Gilmore Girls’ Jared Padalecki moved on to the series about brothers fighting evil, returning next year for season 11.

Gossip Girl, 2007-2012:

The Blake Lively starrer was a ratings darling for The CW, also starring Veronica Mars’ Kristen Bell in voice-over.

Veronica Mars, 2004-2007:

The Rob Thomas series finally became a movie last year due to some Kickstarter help.

Gilmore Girls, 2000-2007:

Just try to keep up with the fast-talking, fast-walking Gilmore Girls.

Smallville, 2001-2011:

The CW examined Superman before he had a cape or a symbol.

Roswell, 1999-2002:

Only one of many sci-fi teen dramas on this network, Roswell went beyond superficial high school drama to discuss the “beyond.”

Charmed, 1998-2006:

Watch The WB impressively cram as many witch-related jokes into one promo as it can.

Dawson’s Creek, 1998-2003:

Did you think the lyrics to this song were gone from your mind? Not anymore.

Felicity, 1998-2002:

See Keri Russell before she was a spy on FX and Scott Foley before he was Scandalized.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 1997-2003:

She’s the original vampire huntress!
