Tamron Hall uncovers the truth behind violent crimes when Deadline: Crime returns to Investigation Discovery on Sept. 8. Silver Spring, Md.-based creative agency AlterEgo produced the spot.

The upcoming season, which returns with eight new episodes, follows Hall as she sits down for emotional, in-depth interviews, visits the scene of the crime and ultimately, determines whether or not justice was served for victims and their families.

Hall, who once co-hosted and anchored for Today and MSNBC Live with Tamron Hall, has hosted the true-crime series since 2013.

Concurrently, ABC also released the first teaser for Hall’s eponymous daytime talk show, which premieres Monday, Sept. 9, on ABC. The spot shows the veteran journalist walking down a hallway as a series of sound clips summarize her career, including her abrupt departure from Today in 2017.

But in the end, Hall declares the objective for the forthcoming talk show: to tell everyone’s story, including her own.

“We all have a story to tell,” Hall says. “So let’s talk about it.”

The show will consist of “layered conversations,” whether they are with celebrities or “everyday people,” Hall revealed during her keynote session at Promax Station Summit 2019.

“I don’t think it’s wise of anyone to pigeonhole themselves—I’m not avoiding celebrity but it doesn’t matter what your name is if you aren’t coming to add to the conversation.”

It will cover everything from true crime to fashion, celebrities, and much more, which are previewed in the show’s first promo (above).
