After Nick Sax (Christopher Meloni) rescued his kidnapped daughter at the end of season one, he’s trying to set an example as a good father when Syfy’s Happy returns.

And that means no more drinking … no more whoring … no more filling chumps full of hot lead, as his imaginary animated blue winged unicorn friend Happy (voiced by Patton Oswalt) reminds him in the season two trailer.

But that clearly won’t last long for the ex cop, hitman and alcoholic, and quickly takes a turn toward the weird and insane as the next chapter gets underway.

The show shifts from it’s Christmas theme in season one, to “the biggest holiday rebranding of all time,” that involves catching kidnapper Sunny Shine (Christopher Fitzgerald), who’s on a mission to “make Easter great again.”

The series also stars Lili Mirojnick, Medina Senghore, Bryce Lorenzo, Ritchie Coster and Patrick Fischler.

Based on the graphic novel of the same name by Grant Morrison, Happy is written and executive produced by Brian Taylor, along with Neal Moritz, Pavun Shetty and Toby Jaffe of Original Film, Meloni, and showrunner Patrick Macmanus.

Happy premieres March 27 on Syfy.
