Stockholm-based agency Brokendoll has expanded to the U.S., opening an L.A. office that will be headed up by Creative Director Emnet Mulugeta, agency founder Brett Richards said Tuesday.
The new Venice shingle adds a Scandinavian sensibility to the city’s white hot Silicon Beach creative hub, with Brokendoll joining Swedish interactive agency North Kingdom in its new space.
The shared office opens up opportunities for collaboration on cross-platform projects, Richards said.

“After serving our broadcast clients in Europe for the last 8 years the next step was to provide the same level of service for our US customers,” Richards said. “We are very lucky to have Emnet leading the creative team in the US. He has an amazing track record in LA and we look forward to welcoming our clients in the new space in Venice.”
Mulugeta has created promos for Nip/Tuck, The Shield, and Masters of Sex, in addition to numerous show packages and network rebrands across Europe.
Founded in 2006, Brokendoll has evolved from a shop that focuses on pure motion graphics to one that has a track record of also delivering live-action work and projects that combine live graphics and motion graphics in new ways.
