What if the world’s superheroes cared less about saving people and more about selling products?

Amazon answers this in The Boys, the upcoming original series that introduces an infamous group of superheroes, labeled The Seven, who abuse their influence and superpowers for their own benefit.

Since the first episode debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 29, the streamer has dropped two exclusive spots revealing the true intentions of its corrupt, egocentric superheroes.

We see the face that launched a thousand marketing deals, Starlight (Erin Moriarty).

“As a superhero, I always have to be ready for my enemies…and my close-ups,”

We also see the “Sellout of the Seven Seas,” The Deep (Chace Crawford), who shows his love for his favorite soy sauce in an animated advertisement.

The spots come after Amazon released two raunchy trailers previewing the mayhem and the titular group of misfits who will go up against The Seven.

The series is based on the best-selling comic of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. It will likely debut more commercials featuring the rest of The Seven; however, until then, we can look forward to a fresh take on superhero drama when the series premieres July 26 on Amazon Prime Video.
