HBO’s Succession and Apple TV Plus’ Ted Lasso were the top TV winners of the night at the 33rd annual Producers Guild Awards at the Fairmont Century Plaza on Saturday.

Succession’s executive producers include Jesse Armstrong, Adam McKay, Will Ferrell, Frank Rich, Kevin Messick, Mark Mylod, Jane Tranter, Tony Roche, Scott Ferguson, Jon Brown, Lucy Prebble, Will Tracy, Georgia Pritchett, Ted Cohen, Susan Soon He Stanton, Francesca Gardiner, Dara Schnapper and Gabrielle Mahon. Mylod was named best director of a drama series for directing the show’s season-three finale at the 74th annual Directors Guild Awards over the prior weekend.

Season two of Apple TV Plus’ Ted Lasso was named TV’s best-produced comedy. Ted Lasso’s producers include Bill Lawrence, Jason Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jeff Ingold, Bill Wrubel, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, Liza Katzer, Kip Kroeger, Declan Lowney, Leann Bowen and Ashley Nicole Black.

HBO’s limited series Mare of Easttown, starring and executive produced by Kate Winslet, won for outstanding production of a limited or anthology series. Besides Winslet, Mare of Easttown is produced by Paul Lee, Mark Roybal, Craig Zobel, Brad Ingelsby, Ron Schmidt and Karen Wacker.

In the non-fiction categories, winners were Disney Plus’ The Beatles: Get Back, HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and VH1’s RuPaul’s Drag Race.

The Beatles is produced by Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono Lennon, Olivia Harrison, Peter Jackson, Clare Olssen, Jonathan Clyde, Jeff Jones and Ken Kamins. Last Week Tonight is produced by John Oliver, Tim Carvell, Liz Stanton, Jeremy Tchaban, Christopher Werner, Laura L. Griffin, Kate Mullaney, Catherine Owens, Matt Passet, Marian Wang and Charles Wilson. RuPaul’s Drag Race is produced by Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell, RuPaul Charles, Mandy Salangsang, Steven Corfe, Michele Mills, Zoe Jackson, John Polly, Lisa Steele, Camilo Valdes, Thairin Smothers, Alicia Gargaro-Magana, Carson Kressley, Ross Mathews and Michelle Visage.

On the film side, the producers of Apple TV Plus’ CODA won the night’s big producing prize, setting CODA up well against Netflix’s Power of the Dog at the upcoming Oscars on March 27. Disney Plus’ Encanto was named the best produced animated movie. Encanto is also the Oscar favorite, although Netflix’s The Mitchells vs. The Machine has been coming up, having won eight Annie Awards in the prior weekend.

The PGA named Summer of Soul, which was directed by Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson, this year’s best-produced documentary.
