UK-based social creative agency The Fifth has added two new hires to its Los Angeles-based team as the company expands in the U.S.

Subin Kim joins as creative strategy director while Shannon Reed comes on board as vice president of accounts and operations.

“Identifying the right leaders is crucial to the growth of our business and expansion into the US market, said The Fifth CEO Oliver Lewis in a statement. “The appointment of Subin and Shannon is a testament to The Fifth’s commitment to stateside operations and global growth. The combined agency, tech and entertainment experience both leaders bring will undoubtedly strengthen our position as a social creative agency. We are thrilled to have them join the family.”

In his new role, Kim will work closely with brands to redefine the role of social and entertainment in their brand and marketing strategies. Kim comes to The Fifth from TikTok, where he led the entertainment vertical and built out the platform’s Creative Lab.

Reed comes to The Fifth after more than 12 years with such advertising agencies as Droga and 72andSunny. She brings client-relations expertise across a variety of verticals, including major tech companies.

The Fifth, which launched in 2019, is owned by News UK and News Corp. and it’s based at Fox Studios in Los Angeles. In the three years it’s been in business, The Fifth has executed social and influencer campaigns for such brands as Disney, YouTube, Fenty Beauty, UKTV and Square.
