Stephen Merchant leads a gang of motley community service workers in Prime Video’s new series, The Outlaws. Seven people from disparate walks of life are assigned the task of cleaning up a derelict community center where they find a giant bag of money (as one does). After deciding to keep it, the group, unsurprisingly, finds itself entangled with the dangerous world of organized crime.
Besides Merchant – who also co-created, executive produced, directed and wrote the series – The Outlaws stars Christopher Walken, Rhianne Barreto, Gamba Cole, Eleanor Tomlinson, Darren Boyd, Clare Perkins and Jessica Gunning. Merchant teamed with Mayans M.C. co-creator Elgin James on the six-episode series. It’s a Big Talk and Four Eyes production. Luke Alkin, Kenton Allen, and Matthew Justice also serve as executive producers for Big Talk. The Outlaws is co-produced by BBC One and Amazon Studios.
All six episodes of The Outlaws premiere on Prime Video on Friday, April 1 in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the Nordic countries, after already debuting on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK. The show was renewed for a second season in November.
