A woman is living, working and partying on Cape Cod when she discovers a dead body on the beach and suddenly finds herself entwined in a murder investigation.

After stumbling upon the dead woman, who allegedly overdosed on opioids, Jackie Quiñones (Monica Raymund) decides it’s time for her to finally seek her own sobriety. But Jackie is soon at odds with the chief investigator on the case, Sergeant Ray Abruzzo (James Badge Dale), and both of them end up far too involved in the complicated situation.

Hightown also stars Riley Voelkel, Shane Harper, Amaury Nolasco, Atkins Estimond and Dohn Norwood.

The series is created and executive produced by Rebecca Cutter with Gary Lennon also executive producing. Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman and KristieAnne Reed executive produce out of Jerry Bruckheimer TV, while Ellen H. Schwartz also serves as executive producer. Rachel Morrison directed the series’ first two episodes.

Hightown will premiere Sunday, May 17 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Starz.
