A season-two trailer of the acclaimed international hit Stan Lee’s Lucky Man has just been unleashed, according to Deadline. The event took place at Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con October 29 with Lee and executive producer Richard Fell of Carnival Films (also the makers of Downton Abbey and The Last Kingdom) both in attendance.
Starring James Nesbitt as Detective Inspector Henry Clayton, a smart but flawed cop who’s given a charm that seems to confer upon the wearer the ability to control luck. The action crime-drama centers around fate, gambling, superstition and the consequences of our actions.
The story evolves from an original idea from Lee marking his first foray into British television. For now, the series has not aired in the United States. NBCUniversal International Distribution is distributing the series worldwide.
Returning cast alongside Nesbitt and Karan include Eve Best (Nurse Jackie), Sienna Guillory (Fortitude), Steven Mackintosh (The Halcyon) and Darren Boyd (Fortitude).
New to the cast this season is actress Thekla Reuten who plays Isabella. She has a chance meeting with Clayton, whose job is to solve particularly puzzling murder cases, but he refuses to use his newfound power to assist him.
Lee and POW! Entertainment producing partner, Gill Champion, are co-executive producer of the series. Anne Mensah and Anna Ferguson exec produce for Sky. Fell and Gareth Neame are executive producers for Carnival Films.
