​Nine new categories honoring outstanding work in sports marketing, music, and branded content were added Thursday to the annual PromaxBDA North America Promotion, Marketing & Design Awards.

PromaxBDA unveiled the additions as the Los Angeles-based organization opened the call for entries for the 2015 competition. The new categories reflect the growing importance of those disciplines to the entertainment marketing industry.

In all, seven of the new awards are dedicated to achievement in sports promotion and marketing:

Overall Integrated Sports Marketing Campaign

Print, Poster or Outdoor – Sports

Editing - Sports

Directing - Sports

Best Use of Music - Sports

Best Use of an Athlete - Sports

Best Branded/Sponsor Integration Promo - Sports

Two other general categories were also added:

Branded Content Promotion

Best Use of Music

PromaxBDA’s annual awards honor the most creative and innovative marketing, promotion, and design work in North America. They are handed out each June at a gala ceremony on the closing night of PromaxBDA’s annual conference.

The Conference 2015 will be held June 9-11, 2015 at the JW Marriott at LA Live in Los Angeles.

Entries for the 2015 PromaxBDA North America Promotion, Marketing & Design Awards will be accepted through February 26, 2015.
