The media industry is shifting rapidly, and the industry’s leading conferences and seminars are evolving to reflect these changes. A case in point is the upcoming New York City Television Week conference, which takes place at The Westin Times Square Oct. 28 - 30.

Presented by digital media publisher Future plc, the conference has transitioned to a multi-track format designed to reflect up-to-the-minute changes and developments in the media landscape. Subject areas that will be the focus of concentrated discussions and exchanges of views, insights and expertise include Advanced Advertising, Streaming TV and TV Data. In addition, the Hispanic TV Summit, now in its 17th year, is a featured element of NYC Television Week’s content offering, presenting its attendees with a comprehensive overview of current trends and best practices in Hispanic broadcasting, cable and streaming.

Confirmed panelists and keynote speakers at NYC Television Week mirror the ongoing power shift in the television industry, with legacy brands sharing the stage with disruptive upstarts, promising a wide range of views on the future of this vital media segment.

In addition to speakers from Google, Comcast, Univision, Starz, Viacom, Pluto TV, Omnicom, Sinclair Broadcasting, a4 Media, Condista and Telemundo, NYC Television Week will provide a forum for companies such as Ampersand (formerly NCC Media), Simpli.fi, Revry and others. The conference will also feature a number of commemorative events, including the 29th annual Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame induction ceremony and the 2nd annual NYC Television Week 40 Under 40 reception.

The conference’s Advanced Advertising track opens with a keynote conversation in which Gina Mingioni, vice president, strategic initiatives at Comcast, will discuss developments in the area of addressability with Carmen Graf, Indeed’s head of global advertising and media. Also in that track, Julie Sterling, director of media and entertainment partnerships at Google, sits down with Laura Nelson, senior vice president, advertising solutions and performance advertising at Disney Advertising Sales, in a keynote conversation on how their companies are making advanced advertising work for brands.

Kicking off the Streaming TV track will be a keynote conversation delivered by Tom Ryan, CEO of Pluto TV, the Viacom-owned free streaming TV service. Later in the day, Jennifer Koester, director of telco and video distribution partnerships at Google, will speak about trends in video partnership. And closing the Streaming TV track will be a keynote conversation featuring Adam Ware, general manager of Sinclair’s STIRR streaming platform, who’ll be interviewed onstage by Rick Howe, “The ITV Doctor.”

Running concurrent with the Streaming TV track is NYC Television Week’s TV Data track, which features panels examining everything from audience measurement and the evolution of programmatic ad buying to ad attribution, analytics and the proliferation of data now available to both buyers and sellers of media.

The integration of the Hispanic Television Summit into NYC Television Week is a major step forward for both programs. This year’s event will explore how new options are impacting Hispanic viewers and creating opportunities for advertisers, programmers, content creators and content providers.

A highlight of each year’s Hispanic TV Summit has been its awards luncheon, sponsored by Telemundo. This year, the Summit will present The Veinte Award for Achievement in Hispanic Television and Video to Jorge Fiterre and Burke Berendes, partners at Condista. The Award for Executive Leadership in Hispanic Television and Video will be presented to Peter E. Blacker, EVP, revenue strategy and Innovation, NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises.
