Designer Stefan Sagmeister; “mother of social media dragons” Dot Lung; brand strategist Gabriella Mirabelli; Alain Sylvain, founder and CEO of design consultancy Sylvain Labs; and sales and planning guru Zoe Harkness are among the marketing and design leaders who will inspire this year at Promax’s Europe 2019.

As our industry continues the digital revolution, European marketers and creative professionals from some of the world’s leading brands will gather in Amsterdam 25-26 March to gain insights into strategies and tactics to help elevate your marketing campaigns targeting a direct-to-consumer audience audience, reconnect with one another, and celebrate everything we’ve accomplished this year.

Stefan Sagmeister, Designer and Cofounder, Sagmeister & Walsh

Stefan Sagmeister formed the New York based Sagmeister Inc. in 1993 and has designed for clients such as the Rolling Stones, HBO, and the Guggenheim Museum. He won two Grammys for the Talking Heads and Brian Eno & David Byrne package designs and in 2008 a comprehensive book titled “Things I have Learned in my Life so far” was published by Abrams.

A native of Austria, solo shows on Sagmeister Inc’s work have been mounted in Paris, Zurich, Vienna, Prague, Cologne, Berlin, New York, Philadelphia, Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul and Miami. He teaches in the graduate department of the School of Visual Art in New York and lectures extensively on all continents. In 2012 young designer Jessica Walsh became a partner and the company was renamed Sagmeister & Walsh.

Dot Lung, Mother of Social Media Dragons

Dot Lung, aka The Mother of Social Media Dragons, helps businesses develop growth strategies to maximize the power of their global social media presence and increase the success of their online marketing efforts. She was born and raised in Los Angeles and is now based in Barcelona servicing clients world-wide.

Having worked on cross cultural campaigns in dozens of countries, she’s been behind the launch of Instagram accounts and social media campaigns for some of the world’s most recognized new media design brands such as Digital Design Days, Motionographer, F5 New York, OFFF Barcelona, Ladies Wine & Design, Sónar+D & Off Sónar. She’s worked on international campaigns and digital strategy with brands such as Volkswagen, SEAT, Mattel, Fisher-Price, OCB and many more. In her free time she speaks on stages worldwide such as DDD, OFFF, PromaxBDA, VidCon, Social Media Week, Startup Grind, SalesForce.org, FuckUpNights & UsByNight! Her favorite social media network is Instagram.

Gabriella Mirabelli, EVP, Consumer Insights & Brand Strategy, Valence Media

Gabriella Mirabelli is the EVP Consumer Insights and Brand Strategy at Valence Media, a diversified media company that also owns Billboard-Hollywood Reporter Media Group, dick clark productions, MRC and a minority stake in A24. In addition to her role at Valence, Gabriella is the host of the Up Next Podcast, an interview program with original thinkers at the intersection of media, entertainment and technology, and a contributor to Adweek.

Alain Sylvain, Founder and CEO, Sylvain Labs

Alain is the founder and CEO of Sylvain Labs, a strategy and design consultancy that helps companies seize the reality and potential of their business, products and brands. Clients include, Google, American Express, Airbnb, Spotify, Blackrock, Samsung, Pepsico, AB InBev, Jet, IKEA, GM, Sonos, the NBA, and others. Founded in 2010, the company is headquartered in NYC, with offices in Amsterdam and Richmond, Va., and a Certified B-Corporation.

In addition to Sylvain Labs, Alain is a partner and investor in several ventures, including Master + Dynamic, a design-driven, premium audio brand, So Choice Softworks, a mobile gaming company, Lilo, an açai bowl company, and PetMio, a smart pet food startup. In addition, he has served as executive producer on short documentaries, including Some Kind of Quest and Instafame. He has been featured in various news outlets and is a current board member of Plus Pool and the VCU Brandcenter.

Zoe Harkness, Head of Planning, Thinkbox

Zoe started her career in sales, working for ITV and also Channel 4. Then she switched sides and worked for top media independent PHD as a senior account director. After six years there, she was lured back to the sales side to work for Sky Media, first as sales controller for Discovery Networks and then as sponsorship controller for Sky Networks. She also worked as planning director for an independent sponsorship agency, Sponsorvision, before joining Thinkbox in 2007 as head of planning.
