MPC teams up with Sony TV to make it larger than life once more in order to show just how realistic and cinematic its 4K TV can get. It is part of a larger campaign to show the high quality of 4K TV, hence the intense and beautiful VFX by MPC.
This is also not the first time smart TVs have taken on high concept spots to show the capabilities to show high concept content. Remember Samsung TV’s similar take?
Brief Take: This is an impressive ad whether you own a 4K TV or not, but is it enough to get those who don’t own one to buy one? With prices that still range from $5,000 to $25,000 a pop, our guess is probably not.
