El Rey continues to beef up its marketing and communications team, with Skip Chaisson joining the network as Senior Vice President, Creative & On-Air Promotion.
Chaisson will report to network Vice Chair Scott Sassa, as well as founder and chairman Robert Rodriguez.
He will work with Sassa and Rodriguez to “elevate and amplify the cable channel’s profile through his irreverent and visually compelling on-air style,” the network said in a statement.
“I have worked with Skip for years and can’t imagine a more skilled creative in this crucial network role,” Rodriguez said Monday. “His vision and uncompromising commitment to excellence has been an inspiration to me and I know that the future of El Rey Network is very bright with Skip at the helm of viewers’ on-air experience.”
Chaisson is the founder of production company Skip Film, which he will continue to oversee while working at El Rey.
A member of the DGA, Chaisson has also won numerous PromaxBDA Awards, Key Art Awards, Golden Trailer Awards and a Clio.
He designed the main titles for numerous series, including “The Good Wife,” “Numbers,” and “Without a Trace.”
