Showtime released dual posters on Friday for the upcoming limited series Twin Peaks and will celebrate the two-part premiere on “Twin Peaks Day” on Sunday, May 21, the day fans revere as the first time Special Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) set foot in the mysterious town.

The 18-part limited event series picks up 25 years after the citizens of a quiet northwestern town were shocked when their homecoming queen Laura Palmer was murdered.

One poster shows the image of Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee), whose mysterious death sparked the Twin Peaks saga, while the other poster depicts MacLachlan as Cooper. Both images are superimposed over a background of pine trees shrouded in mist.

Directly following the premiere on the network, Showtime will give subscribers access to the third and fourth parts, exclusively across the the network’s streaming service: Showtime Anytime and Showtime On Demand.

During its second week, Twin Peaks will air the third and fourth parts back to back on Showtime, May 28, starting at 9 p.m. ET, followed by single parts in following weeks.

Twin Peaks is directed by David Lynch, written and executive produced by series creators David Lynch and Mark Frost, and is executive produced by Sabrina S. Sutherland.

The 18-part limited event series premieres, Sunday, May 21, at 9 p.m. ET on Showtime.
