Two days before the premiere of scripted music series Roadies, Showtime will debut the documentary Miles to Go Before I Sleep, honoring real-life roadies on tour.

The 35-minute film features music legends Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Chris Shiflett (Foo Fighters) and Jim James (My Morning Jacket), who speak candidly about their time on the road and the importance of the crew who work tirelessly to put the show together. The film also goes behind the scenes with the crew of Pearl Jam and follows the U.S. tour of Hippo Campus.

Directed and executive produced by Sam Jones, Miles to Go Before I Sleep will premiere on Friday, June 24 at 8 p.m., just before Cameron Crowe’s original series Roadies, with executive producers Winnie Holzman and J.J. Abrams, premieres Sunday June 26 at 10 p.m.

The film is produced by Todd Dana and Beware Doll Films.
