Showtime released the official trailer for documentary One & Done, chronicling basketball player Ben Simmon’s rise to fame.

The film captures Simmons’ journey from his Australian upbringing, to high school in America, college at Louisiana State University, and to the top of the rookie class in the world’s foremost basketball league, where he was the number one NBA draft pick in 2016.

The production took nearly two years, with exclusive and intimate access to Simmons, 20, and his family from Melbourne. HIs father, New York native David Simmons, played 13 professional seasons in the Australian National Basketball League, and his success in the NBC fulfills a lifelong dream.

At the heart of the film is the time Simmons spent on the NCAA men’s basketball team at LSU, where he played his “one and done” year in order to satisfy a rule regulating eligibility for the NBA Draft.

One & Done was originally set to premiere on October 21, but following an injury sustained by Simmons during Philadelphia 76’ers training camp, was moved to Friday, November 4 at 9 p.m. on Showtime.

The film is one of many documentaries in the works from Showtime Sports, whose lineup of titles includes Kobe Bryant’s Muse, Play it Forward about Tony Gonzalez, IVerson, The Drew by director Baron Davis, and Dean Smith.
