The U.S.S. Discovery takes a 130-year unintentional leap into the future in season three of CBS All Access’ Star Trek: Discovery. The show’s official trailer and key art were unveiled Tuesday during a virtual panel on Star Trek Day.
Sonequa Martin-Green stars as Commander Michael Burnham along with Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, Mary Wiseman, Wilson Cruz and David Ajala. Also appearing are Blu del Barrio, Ian Alexander, Michelle Yeoh and Tig Notaro.
Star Trek: Discovery’s 13-episode third season will premiere on Thursday, Oct. 15 on CBS All Access.
Also announced on Star Trek Day was new podcast titled Star Trek: the Pod Directive featuring co-hosts Paul F. Tompkins and Tawny Newsome launching Monday, Sept. 14. The podcast will feature interviews with stars from the Star Trek Universe, celebrity superfans and creative professionals. Guests so far include actor/director Ben Stiller, author/commentator Reza Aslan, actor Michelle Hurd, StarTrek.com managing editor Kendra James, Vulture writer Angelica Bastien, and Star Trek: Lower Access’ creator and executive producer Mike McMahan.
New episodes will drop on Mondays through Nov. 9.
