Sean Bean (Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones) stars as big bad Mr. Wilford when apocalyptic drama Snowpiercer returns to TNT on Monday, Jan. 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

After the revolution that ended season one, the survivors are trying to maintain a fragile peace on the train that continues to circle the frozen Earth. Layton (Daveed Diggs) is now the train’s leader, but Wilford is on his way on a new and better train outfitted with new technology. Meanwhile, Melanie (Jennifer Connelly) risks going out into the freezing world to try to stop Wilford from retaking Snowpiercer. While she’s out there, she somehow learns that her daughter, Alexandra (Rowan Blanchard), whom Melanie thought had died, has actually been working as Wilford’s dedicated protegee.

Now, a new power struggle emerges between Layton and Wilford, while Melanie leads the charge on a shocking new discovery that could decide the fate of humanity.
