Comedy Central is saying goodbye to Stephen Colbert with a bang, booking a VVIP guest for his Dec. 8 broadcast.
President Barack Obama will be the headliner that evening, which the network is billing as “Stephen Colbert Presents: Mr. Colbert Goes to Washington, D.C. Ya Later, Legislator: Partisan is Such Sweet Sorrow: A Colbert Victory Lap ‘014.”
James Corden, who will occupy the time slot following Colbert when he shifts over to CBS, will be the Dec. 9 guest. Corden is currently promoting the Disney feature film Into the Woods.
Colbert has also scored Sarah Koenig, host of the “Serial” podcast that America is collectively flipping out over at the moment.
