Sam Wale has been promoted to director at Alibi Music Library, continuing to be based in the UK.
In this new role, he will assume additional responsibilities in the U.K., while remaining vice president of production. He also joins the company’s core management team alongside founder Jonathan Parks and Chief Operating Officer Jeffrey Parks.

Since joining Alibi full-time in 2014, Wale has helped produce more than 1,000 albums of production music, working with composers and artists from all over the world. Tracks from these albums can be heard almost daily in feature film trailers, TV promos, unscripted programs, docudramas, video games, commercials and major streamed events.
“Sam is a huge asset to Alibi, [and] has played a significant role in our growth,” said Jonathan Parks, Alibi’s founder and executive producer, in a statement. “So, it was the logical next step to expand his role, welcoming his expertise and unique UK vantage to our core management team.”
“I am honored by the opportunity to play an even bigger part in Alibi’s growth story as Jonathan closes in on the vision he had when he started this company,” said Wale, also in a statement. “Alibi has come a long way since then, and I look forward to helping orchestrate its next chapter.”
A musician from an early age, Wale began composing, playing in bands and working in studios while still in college. By the time he got his bachelor of science in music technology from the University of Hertfordshire, he had also run an online mixing and mastering service for independent artists. Wale began composing for Alibi as a freelancer in 2011 before he was given the chance to help the company formally launch in the UK three years later.
