Empire returns Wednesday night after a three-month hiatus with the second half of season two, and producers are hinting at what’s to come.

Questions abound, like whether Lucious and Cookie will rekindle their flame, whether Rhona and Andre will lose their baby, and whether Anika pushed Rhonda down the stairs.

Fans are particularly excited that Cookie is back. Fox released a mashup for the show that features Empire Executive Producer Ilene Chaiken recapping Cookie’s story for season two, taking viewers through her relationships with Jamal, Hakeem, Andre, and Lucious.

“Cookie ends the first part of the season having lost something really important to her, and now the future is uncertain,” Chaiken says.

The first part of the show’s second season saw the ratings fall, going from a 6.7 household rating for the season premiere to 4.5 by the midseason finale, The Root reports.

But the back half of season two promises many twists and turns.

Jussie Smollet, who plays Jamal, told ABC News that nearly all of the characters are expendable.

“They’re gonna be surprised that honestly, no one—you know, except Cookie, she’s safe—but no one, truly no one is safe on this show,” he said.

Empire returns Wednesday, March 30 at 9/8 central.
