Quibi’s head of brand and content marketing, former Netflix executive Megan Imbres, is departing the nascent short-form streamer two weeks after launch, the Wall Street Journal reported.

According to the Journal, Imbres said this post-launch period was an “opportune time to transition,” in an email to Quibi employees.

“Now that we are on the other side of launch, I’ve made the very hard decision to leave Quibi,” the memo said, according to Deadline. “It feels like an opportune time of transition where I can take some time to identify my next challenge. … I feel privileged to have been at the front lines of the innovation of entertainment.”

Imbres led the effort to market Quibi to consumers with ads that aired during the Super Bowl and Academy Awards.

“Megan played an important leadership role in the development of Quibi’s unique brand,” Quibi said in a statement. “She helped build an all-star content and brand marketing team that is well-equipped to transition Quibi from prelaunch to launch. We wish her all the best in her next endeavor.”

Imbres reported directly to Quibi CEO Meg Whitman. Whitman’s two other marketing direct reports—corporate communications chief Gina Stikes and growth marketing head Juan Bongiovanni—remain.

Quibi, which stands for “quick bites,” was founded by former Dreamworks founder and CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg, who has raised some $1.75 billion in venture capital in support of it. The service offers short-form content and episodes meant to be consumed while subscribers are waiting in line or are in between meetings.

Quibi launched on April 6 with a subscription rate of $4.99 per month for the ad-supported stream and $7.99 per month for the ad-free version. Thus far, 2.7 million people have signed up, according to the company, to watch shows such as Most Dangerous Game, starring Liam Hemsworth and Christoph Waltz; Chrissy’s Court, featuring Chrissy Teigen and Pepper Thai; Flipped, starring Will Forte and Kaitlin Olson; a reboot of MTV’s Punk’d, hosted by Chance The Rapper; and Survive, a thriller starring Sophie Turner and Corey Hawkins.
