Daily Brief by PromaxBDA has partnered with B&C and attention analytics company iSpot.tv on weekly chart Promo Mojo, offering data showing the top-five TV promos ranked by TV ad impressions. These are the shows networks have been promoting most heavily to drive tune-in. This week’s data covers the 7-day period through Dec. 11.
Fox’s Star and National Geographic Channel’s Mars switch places this week, with the former taking the top spot on the strength of 225.7 million TV ad impressions for its promos, while the latter slips to second. The blitz is a measure of the high hopes Fox has for the musical drama, which premieres tonight.
Meanwhile, Freeform appears in the top 5 for the first time, with big pushes for Beyond and Shadowhunter, while History returns to sell the new season of survival/reality drama Alone.
