All Elite Wrestling (AEW) will air its two-hour weekly matches beginning Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. ET on TNT.
The network made the announcement shortly before its panel at the Television Critics Association summer press tour on Wednesday, which included an appearance from wrestlers Cody and Brandi Rhodes, who also executive produce, Awesome Kong, Jungle Boy and Nyla Rose.
Each match will take place in different cities across the nation, starting at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C, and introduces statistics to wrestling for the first time in the sports’ history.
AEW, founded earlier this year, also boasts a diverse roster comprising both male and female wrestlers from all backgrounds—an aspect that makes them different, they say.
“We’ve got a really diverse group, and that’s very representative of what you’re gonna see,” Brandi Rhodes said. “When you saw the trailer, you saw different sizes, shapes, colors, genders, nationalities, sexualities, religions. You’re gonna see all of that because we go for the best talent. We aren’t looking for a cookie-cutter.”
AEW also takes pride in the fact that it’s “run by wrestlers, for wrestlers,” unlike other wrestling promotions that are more corporate, Cody Rhodes claimed.
“This is a wrestling show brought to you by wrestlers for wrestling fans,” he said. “And that in itself is a revolution for our industry and for the performers in it.”
The untitled TNT series premieres Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. Though the series will stay true to “pro wrestling” rather than “entertainment sports,” the “more graphic content” will air only on B/R Live, Cody Rhodes says.
Ann Curry and Kim Bondy took the stage shortly after AEW’s panel for their upcoming medical series, Chasing the Cure Live. The duo confirmed the series’ episode count at 10 episodes, premiering Aug. 8 on TNT and TBS.
The show taps social media, community and expert doctors to help patients solve undiagnosed medical conditions. Though Curry and Bondy admit that not everyone will receive a solution, they hope the series will generate conversation and help build a community for the patients involved.
“I think we are each other’s greatest resource, and we have been each other’s greatest resource since the history of humankind, since the beginning of humankind, throughout the history of humankind, and we can unlock and break the silos that keep us from each other and remind each other that we’re not alone,” Curry stated.

Despite the 10-episode count, the series will continue to help patients 24/7 through its website, social media and email.
Patients can upload and customize their own case file to seek help for their untreated conditions. Anyone can also register on the website whether or not they are suffering a condition to contribute to the community, Bondy confirmed.
