Off of Freeform and on HBO Max, Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina creator Robert Aguirre-Sacasa brings his brand of horror to the Pretty Little Liars franchise with upcoming spinoff Original Sin.

Set 20 years after the events of Pretty Little Liars, Original Sin finds a new group of teen girls being tormented by an unknown assailant known only as A. A wants the girls to pay both for the unknown sin their parents committed two decades ago as well as something A feels they did.

HBO Max worked with creative agency Mocean on the above trailer, titled “Music Box.”

Pretty Little Liars, based on the bestselling books by Sara Shepard, premiered on Freeform, then ABC Family, in 2010. Two other shows have been spun-off from Pretty Little LiarsPretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists and Ravenswood—but neither lasted more than one season.

Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin stars Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles, and Maia Reficco along with Mallory Bechtel, Sharon Leal, Elena Goode, Lea Salonga, Eric Johnson and Alex Aiono.

The series is produced by Aguirre-Sacasa’s Muckle Man Productions and Alloy Entertainment (Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars, The Vampire Diaries, You) in association with Warner Bros. Television. I. Marlene King (who developed the original Pretty Little Liars), Michael Grassi, Caroline Baron, and Alloy’s Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo are also executive producers of the series, which is based upon the bestselling series of books by Sara Shepard, published by Alloy Entertainment.

Original Sin debuts its ten-episode season on Thursday, July 28 with three episodes. Two episodes will then premiere on August 4 and 11, followed by the final three episodes on August 18.
