“One trained to be the best since the day he was born. The other has been perfected by evolution.”

Discovery also is launching a short-form series on Snapchat to accompany its annual summer event.
Shark Week on Snapchat will be hosted by comedian Jordan Carlos. Those episodes will remain on the platform for two days before the next episode premieres.
Shark Week on Snapchat kicks off with “Sharks, They’re Just Not That Into You,” which explains that sharks aren’t actually attracted to humans as prey. The next episode, “Sharks: Nature’s Bad Ass,” explores how sharks have survived all five of the planet’s mass extinctions to become the world’s most dangerous predator. And episode three, “These Sharks Shouldn’t Exist,” looks at mostly unseen shark species that live miles below the ocean’s surface.
Snapchatters also will be able to “shark” themselves with a custom Shark Week lens on July 23.
Shark Week on Snapchat is produced by Discovery’s original content team and Group Nine Studios.
