Following a successful first year of operation in their new home, The Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center have added to executive Fred Mangione‘s role of CMO by promoting him to Chief Revenue Officer.

In his new role, Mangione will oversee the sponsorship department and will have direct oversight of the decisions pertaining to the strategic sponsorship alliances for both the team and the arena. He was instrumental in transforming the team brand from New Jersey to Brooklyn and in the development of the Barclays Center brand and the venue’s five programming franchises. Mangione started with the Nets in 1999 as director of ticket sales.

Fred Mangione joins a slew of individuals at The Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center receiving promotions, all of whom “were key contributors to the successful launch of the team in Brooklyn and Barclays Center,” said Brett Yormark, CEO of the Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center, in a statement. “It was important for us to recognize their achievements. We look forward to the continued growth of our companies.”
