As part of its expansion from a second-screen TV check-in and sticker-collecting app to a content discovery service, GetGlue has aimed to boost monetization with the hiring of digital media veteran Evan Krauss as its new president.

The longtime digital media exec brings more than 18 years of experience working for entertainment companies ranging from Yahoo! to AOL to Agency.com. Most recently, he was EVP of ad sales for Shazam, where he helped build out the company’s second-screen ad business. GetGlue recently introduced a new advertising product of its own, Promoted Entries, which lets networks and advertisers create their own users’ Guides to showcase products and shows.

As part of its revenue push, GetGlue also hired Shelby Houston Haro as its new EVP of sales, a former executive for Fandango and Flixster.
