Looking forward to a quiet Fourth of July weekend? You might just want to turn your EPG to Showtime and leave it there.

“Penny Dreadful,” just wrapping its first season on Showtime, came out with a dramatic spot this week announcing that it’s coming back for a monster-filled season two. Episodes of the horror series are available on-demand for catch-up purposes. “Nurse Jackie,” about to begin its seventh season, made a similar move.

And before new second seasons of “Masters of Sex” and “Ray Donovan” debut July 13, Showtime has planned full-season marathons of each show over the Fourth of July weekend so viewers can catch up on their breaks.

“Masters of Sex” will air throughout July 4-5, leading into the first season marathon of “Ray Donovan” on July 6. Episodes will be available on air, on Showtime On Demand and the Showtime Anytime app.
