Just in time for Halloween, Paramount Plus will debut original high-concept thriller Significant Other on Friday, October 7 in the U.S. Canada, U.K., Australia and Italy and then in other international territories later this year.

The film, which stars Jake Lacy and Maika Monroe, is about a young couple who take a remote backpacking trip in the Pacific Northwest that turns dark when they realize they are not alone.

Significant Other will premiere at 2022 New York Comic Con on Thursday, October 6, followed by a panel composed of the cast and filmmakers, before becoming available on the streaming service.

The movie is produced by Paramount Pictures’ Players Label and written and directed by Dan Berk and Robert Olsen. It’s produced by Dan Kagan and executive produced by Dan Berk, Robert Olsen, Maika Monroe and Kevin Sullivan.
