Paramount Plus is serving up a summer of sweet revenge as it celebrates the 40th anniversary of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn, which starred William Shatner as James T. Kirk and Ricardo Montalban as legendary villain Khan Noonien Singh.

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan has been referenced often in such popular shows as Seinfeld, South Park, Saturday Night Live and The Big Bang Theory, to name a few. William Shatner’s scream of the name “Khaaaan!” remains a famous and frequently memed moment from the movie.

The streaming service will offer Kahn-inspired treats all summer, starting with a curated selection of Khan-centric and revenge-themed Star Trek episodes and movies featured in branded carousels on Paramount Plus.

A collectible Funko figurine will be available at the official Star Trek shop. Fans got to vote on their preferred Kahn Funko – either battle ready or post-battle Kahn – from May 31 through June 4. The Funko will be available or pre-order on June 6.

Women-owned ice cream brand Coolhaus will be bringing limited-edition Wrath of P’Khan ice cream sandwiches via a branded truck. The truck first visited fans in SoHo at Prince Street and Green Street on June 4, and it will be back to ring in National Ice Cream Day on July 17 at 2nd Street and Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles. Right after that, the truck will travel to San Diego for Comic-Con, which returns after several years in hiatus due to the pandemic.

Finally, Paramount Home Entertainment and Fathom Events are partnering to bring Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan to the big screen during the TCM Big Screen Classics series on Sept. 4, 5 and 8. This will include more than 2,500 screenings of the film across the three-day event.
