It’s all creepy serial killers all the time as Oxygen rolls out its “12 Darks Days of Serial Killers” event starting April 9 with back-to-back premieres of two new original specials.

The two new specials are Catching a Serial Killer: Sam Little on Sunday, April 12 at 7 pm ET/PT and Snapped: Notorious Hollywood Ripper the following week on Sunday, April 19 at 7 pm ET.

During the rest of the 12 days, true-crime cable destination Oxygen is airing season premieres, season finales and other episodes of series that fit the serial-killer theme, such as the season-two debut of Mark of a Killer on Thursday, April 9 at 9 pm ET/PT and the season-one finale of The DNA of Murder with Paul Holes on Saturday, April 11 at 7 pm ET/PT.

Other programming icludes serial-killer themed episodes of such series as Serial Killer with Piers Morgan, Dateline: Secrets Uncovered, Smiley Face Killers: The Hunt for Justice, It Takes a Killer and more.

The Sam Little special digs into the case of Little, who was 78 when he confessed in May 2018 to having murdered more than 90 women across 17 different states on a killing spree that lasted 35 years. Thus far, more than 50 of his victims have been confirmed by the FBI, making Little the U.S.’ most prolific serial killer.

In the two-hour special, prosecutor-turned-investigative-journalist Beth Karas follows Little’s trail to try to discover how he evaded capture for so long. Karas also speaks to an almost-victim who escaped his clutches.

Catching a Serial Killer: Sam Little is produced by ITN Productions and Engel Entertainment with Bruce Kennedy, Jonathan Grupper and Stephanie Angelides serving as executive producers.

Snapped: Notorious Hollywood Ripper is a special 90-minute episode of the long-running series that looks at the case of Michael Gargiulom who stalked, befriended and then murdered three young women—all of whom were on the path the stardom. Snapped also features investigator Karas and her in-depth interviews with lead detectives.
Snapped is produced by Jupiter Entertainment with Patrick Reardon, Todd Moss and Nicholas Greene serving as executive producers.
