BBC America sci-fi series “Orphan Black” will have a comic book series this time next year as well as a third season in the works, announced IDW Publishing on Wednesday.

One of many Tatiana Maslany’s characters, Sarah Manning, will be at the center of the “Orphan Black” comic series, starting on a plot line similar to the BBC America TV series by Temple Street Productions, but setting off on different stories.

“We’re so thrilled for Orphan Black to take shape as a comic series and join the ranks of IDW’s impressive roster,” said John Young, managing director of Temple Street Productions. “Orphan Black was met with an enormous amount of enthusiasm at last year’s Comic-Con which really inspired us to give back to fans of the show through a medium so vital to the science fiction world.”
