Season two of One Mississippi finds Tig (Tig Notaro, Transparent), her stepfather Bill (John Rothman, Ghostbusters, The Devil Wears Prada) and her brother Remy (Noah Harpster, Transparent), living together again in the family’s home in Biloxi, Miss., and ready for new beginnings and new relationships.
Tig resumes her radio career with producer Kate (Stephanie Allynne, In a World…, People Places Things), and her outspoken point of view proves controversial for the local market.
“We love your soul,” a man says to Tig outsider the radio station. “And it is possible to pray the gay away,” a woman with him adds.
“What if I want to pray the gay to stay?” Tig responds, walking inside. An opportunity for her to take a bigger stage in New Orleans comes with more reach, and more responsibility.
Season two is all about moving forward in life, starting fresh and finding love, while learning to function as a family and adapt to living together in Mississippi.
One Mississippi also stars Sheryl Lee Ralph (Ray Donovan, Wicked), and and Carly Jibson (The Guest Book, Hairspray).
Season two premieres September 8 on Amazon Prime.
