A nine-year-old investigative journalist (Brooklynn Prince) attempts to solve a murder in Apple TV+s Home Before Dark.

The trailer introduces Hilde Lisko, a young girl who moves from Brooklyn to her father’s (Jim Sturgess) small hometown. There, she becomes obsessed with a cold case that everyone has given up on, including her father (who has some secrets and involvement of his own).

The series is based on the true story of 13-year-old Hilde Lysiak, a child reporter in Selinsgrove, Pa. who received fame and criticism for covering the murder of one of her neighbors. The series will also star Abby Miller (The Sinner), Louis Herthum (Westworld), Michael Weston (Psych), Kylie Rogers (Skin) and Joelle Carter (Justified).

Prior to the series premiere, Apple TV+ announced during winter TCA 2020 that the series has been renewed for a second season. Season one premieres April 3 on Apple TV+.
