Though it comes as a surprise to no one, history will mark today as the day on which Nielsen announced the pilot program of its Nielsen Digital Program Ratings. The pilot program will test from May through June and include A&E, ABC, AOL, CBS, The CW, Discovery, Fox, NBC and Univision. The new technology will measure overnight audience data such as unique audience, stream counts and reach by age and gender for TV programming viewed online.
