Nicole Fina has joined Santa Monica, Calif.-based content studio AFX Creative as executive producer, said Mark Leiss, AFX Creative founder and managing director.
“Nicole’s enterprising and creative energy is a welcomed addition to our expanding team. I look forward to her leadership and contributions in growing our business into its next phase, specifically: the diversification of our capabilities and industries of expertise,” said Leiss in a statement.
“When I first connected with AFX Creative, we were perfectly aligned on core values in business and integrity,” said Fina, also in a statement. “Competition in LA is fierce. What sets AFX Creative apart from the rest? For one thing, it’s our talented and passionate team on the ground in LA who allow us to be nimble and accountable. I believe that continued commitment toward breathtaking VFX, color, design, animation, and finishing as well as solution-oriented pipelines will be our north star.”
Fina comes to the content creation studio from Digital Domain, where she was executive producer of advertising and games. Prior to that, she also held key producing roles at MPC, Psyop, Method Studios, Troika and Grey Worldwide and has helped produce campaigns for such clients as Google, Apple, Nike, NFL, Adidas and BMW. She’s also produced global campaigns, music videos, holograms for live events and key content for such marquee events as the Super Bowl and the Academy Awards and has led projects for Starz’ Outlander, created a short film for the Apex Legends video game, and produced a trailer for video game Ghost of Tsushima.
“The Executive Producer role is quite extensive. It’s more than just about business development and project management; it’s also creating and keeping trust,” said Fina. “The client and team experience is just as important to me as the quality of the work. Creative teams can feel confident reaching out to AFX Creative and getting a partner who will collaborate on the best path forward. When there is great synergy, great work will be done.”
